Burgundy Robusto
Description
AZAN is one of the only cigar brands originally founded in Cuba by a Chinese immigrant, established in 1928.
Before the Cuban Revolution, AZAN was a privately owned Cuban cigar brand involved in tobacco cultivation and cigar production.
Following the Cuban Revolution in 1959, the Cuban government nationalized all private cigar companies, and the AZAN brand disappeared along with many other private Cuban cigar brands.
In 2013, veteran cigar maker Roberto P. Duran revived the AZAN brand in Nicaragua. Duran has more than four decades of experience in cigar production, having worked extensively in both Cuba and Nicaragua.
Today, AZAN cigars are produced in Estelí, Nicaragua under the supervision of Cuban-trained cigar experts, combining Cuban cigar-making tradition with Nicaraguan tobacco.
AZAN remains one of the few cigar brands in history with Chinese origins, giving it a unique place in the cigar industry.
